Licensing & Testing Information
Anyone who will perform nonexempt electrical work without supervision by a licensed electrician or master electrician DOES require a license.

Testing Information:
Title: Business & Law (Electrical Contractor)
Exam ID#: 231
Testing Information: Approved Materials and Testing Topics
Testing Locations: Find a testing center in the state of Kentucky and schedule your exam.
License Requirements:

- Complete Application (click here to download) and mail with prorated fee
(contact OHBC for fee schedule) to Electrical Licensing Office - address on application
Renewal Requirements:
- Complete Renewal Form (click here to download), mail with payment and proof of the six (6) hours continuing education.
Penalties:
- The reinstatement fee for any lapsed license pursuant to KRS 227A.100(A)
shall be equal to the license renewal fee. ($200)
- In addition, the late renewal fee shall be $50
Testing Requirements:
Title: Standard Master Electrician
