History

IEC of the Bluegrass, Inc., (formerly, Kentucky Electrical Contractors Association, KECA/IEC, Inc.), is a non-profit organization. IEC works to develop, maintain, and improve the quality of electrical construction at all levels in order to provide to the public the benefits of electrical contracting services, based on management information and construction techniques to meet and exceed the highest level of standards.

When you join IEC, you secure a business partner dedicated to making yours a better business. In 1989 a few contractors decided there were some things they could do better and less expensively if they joined forces. Out of this decision grew IEC of the Bluegrass, Inc., an association of businesses that perform electrical construction.
